LAKE PERRIS, Calif. (CelebrityAccess) – Organizers of the Desert Daze music festival scheduled for this fall in Southern California have canceled it.
Organizers attributed the decision to cancel the festival to rising production costs, while the current volatility in the festival market made it impossible to hold the event as planned.
“Desert Daze is more than just a festival or commercial event to us,” said Desert Daze co-founder Phil Pirrone. “The community we cultivate together means a lot to us and is something we will work hard to find a way to The reason why this good thing will continue for many years to come.”
“Each year, we do our best to serve the Desert Daze community,” Pirone added. “We’re always learning and working to improve the experience, and this year we’re doing everything we can to find a way forward. While we’re on hold for now, we will be working hard behind the scenes to share another special experience for all of us in the future. We thank you for your support support.
Desert Daze will take place at Lake Perris near Los Angeles from October 10-13, 2024, with a diverse lineup including The Mars Volta, Jack White, Alex G, Thundercat, Liz Phair, De La Soul, Fleet Foxes and more.
According to a statement from festival promoters, all Desert Daze Presents performances will go ahead as planned.
