Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s children seem unaware of their royal heritage.
Archie, 5, is sixth in line to the British throne, while Lilibet, 3, is seventh.
But according to a new report US Weeklythe children have not yet been told their titles or their place in the line of succession.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s kids didn’t know they were royals
Obviously, Archie and Lilibet are still very young, and royalty is a difficult concept for children to grasp.
Still, some fans are surprised that Harry and Meghan’s children think they’re just regular kids.
“They will have these conversations at the appropriate time,” a source described as a “family friend” told us.
“They are very polite. Archie is cute, curious and playful, and Lily is energetic and happy.
The insider added that Harry and Meghan want Archie and Lilibet to feel safe and loved for who they are as individuals and not for their titles.
Currently, this means protecting children from the corrupt influence of the outside world.
Archie and Lilibet may have had slightly less freedom than other children their age. But that’s just the natural consequence of being born into the most famous family in the world.
The Sussexes’ situation is further complicated by the fact that they don’t receive the same security as the rest of the royal family.
Safety first
“I think every parent wants to share their child with the world. But they just can’t,” the source explained to Us.
“[Prince] For example, although William’s children were easily identifiable, they felt more secure. The same does not apply to Meghan and Harry’s children,” the source added.
“They know the world wants to see [them but] I hope they can live smaller lives until this issue is resolved (if at all).
It may be a long time before Meghan and Harry’s children can participate in public life like their cousins. But that doesn’t mean Archie and Lilibet missed out.
Harry and Meghan are hands-on parents
“They take the kids to school and pick them up. And they are very active and are around them throughout the day,” the source said.
It’s not easy for Harry and Meghan to maintain a sense of normalcy with their children.
But it sounds like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are doing their best to protect Archie and Lily for as long as possible.
The most important point here is that these children have two loving, devoted parents. These parents will do whatever it takes to provide them with the best education possible.
It is a birthright, more valuable than any royal title.
