Artem Chigvintsev has been a fan favorite on Dancing With the Stars for years.
That’s why it was so shocking to hear on August 29 that he had been arrested on felony domestic violence charges, according to reports. TMZ.
A representative with the Napa County Sheriff’s Office told the outlet that deputies responded to a domestic violence call shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday at a location in the town of Yountville. A man was arrested at the scene and injuries were reported.
Sheriff’s deputies said the victim in the case requested complete confidentiality.
The dancer’s bail was set at $25,000, according to online records, but there was no immediate word on his release.
Additionally, as of press time, it was unclear whether Chigvintsev’s wife, fellow wrestler Nikki Garcia, was involved in the alleged altercation.
The investigation is ongoing.

Initially, there was no statement from Chigvintsev’s representatives or Nikki.
However, detectives checking her social media discovered she was getting a facial in Napa Valley the day before her arrest.
The retired professional wrestler has been married to the dancer since August 2022.
On their anniversary, there was no sign of any trouble brewing, just love for each other. Nikki posted the lyrics to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” along with a special message for her husband.
“This song is our love story,” she wrote in an Instagram video. “I’ll never forget where I was when I asked Jesus about Artyom. Talking to him and God. What I was feeling felt so fast. Everything felt so fast. And then this song came along .
She concluded: “That’s when I knew I was in love with him and it was all meant to be.”
Artyom wrote in response: “Happy anniversary my love, I can’t live without you.”
