SYDNEY, Australia (CelebrityAccess) – Australian venue management specialist The Playbill Group has announced a new partnership with Los Angeles-based leading live events company AEG Presents and Australian concert organizer Frontier Touring, part of The Mushroom Group.
Playbill Group was founded in Sydney in 1958 by Brian Nebenzahl and Jocelyn Nebenzahl and has a long history in the Australian entertainment industry. The family-owned company operates in more than 10 countries, managing venues and concessions in Australia and Asia. Notably, Playbill manages Sydney’s iconic Hordern Pavilion, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and will once again host the ARIA Awards.
Playbill also supplies merchandise for theatrical productions, including musicals, national theaters and music companies in 12 countries around the world, including chicago, beauty and the beast, and Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, and partners with major sports teams and operates venue franchises across the country and Asia.
Under the new partnership, Playbill’s executive arm will remain unchanged. Michael Nebenzal He will continue to serve as Managing Director, leading the company’s expansion from its initial Australia and New Zealand operations to Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, China, Philippines, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States.

While financial terms of the partnership have not been disclosed, the partnership marks another major move for AEG, which recently announced support for a new concert venue in Portland, Ore., and is working on its upcoming live venue in Olympia Concert hall seeks naming rights partner.
