PUEBLO, Colo. (CelebrityAccess) – Country music artist Scotty McCreery suspended his performance at the Colorado State Fair on Aug. 24 after a man in the crowd allegedly Beat up a female fan.
The incident was captured on fan-made video as McCreery was starting to perform his recent hit “It Matters To Her,” but he paused the song midway through.
“Hey hey hey hey. Right here. Right here,” McCreary said, pointing to the audience. “That was a lady you just hit, sir. Absolutely not. Who just hit this lady?
McRae later summoned police and venue security to address the issue, and appealed to spectators to help identify the alleged perpetrators.
After security responded to the incident, McCree said: “Get it? Is everything okay?” before adding “Whoever you are, beating up a lady, that’s the definition of a coward. Get out of here.”
A representative for the Colorado State Fair confirmed to NBC News that an incident occurred at the fair and asked any fans who have video of the alleged attack to share it with the fair’s security team.
“Colorado State Fair security assisted with crowd control. The incident remains under investigation and we cannot comment further,” Olga Robak, communications director for the Colorado Department of Agriculture, told NBC News in an emailed statement.
