convicted child killer Susan Smith She shouldn’t be paroled because her bad behavior in prison included sex and drug use… said a former correctional officer who dated her.
alfred rowA disgraced prison guard formerly employed at South Carolina’s Camille Graham Correctional Center told TMZ … Susan isn’t ready to be released.
Smith became eligible for parole in early November for the murders of her two children. Michael and AlexanderAccording to South Carolina corrections officials.
Rowe told TMZ that he was a guard at the Columbia Penitentiary, where Smith was incarcerated while serving, and that the two became close…a little too close.
The former guard admitted to CNN that having sex with Smith was not worth losing his job or reputation.
Rowe said he “allowed” Smith to perform oral sex on him two or three times but she did not ask for anything in return. Prison authorities learned of their affair and fired Rowe.
He went on to say that Smith was “not ready for parole” because of the numerous disciplinary infractions she had committed over the years – many of them drug-related offences. He noted that her record of violations was one of the most serious he had ever seen.
Rowe even believes that if Smith is paroled this fall, he will end up in jail again for drugs. The only way he can support her parole is if Susan proves she is innocent over a significant period of time.
Alfred makes it clear that his negative opinion of Susan has nothing to do with their complicated relationship. Rowe pleaded guilty in 2001 and was sentenced to five years of probation for his sexual relationship with Smith.
While Smith is eager to shorten her life sentence – which she is serving for the 1994 murders of her two young sons – Rowe said she is actually respected among other female inmates.
This shocked Alfred, who said that in most cases, people who harm children are viewed by other prisoners as the worst possible scum.
If Smith is paroled in November, she may be in for a rude awakening.
