WASHINGTON, D.C. (CelebrityAccess) — Artists Rights Alliance (ARA), an artist-led nonprofit education and advocacy organization, announced a round of high-profile additions to its Music Council.
New members include Aerosmith, Creed, Lauren Daigle, Jerry Flowers, Myles Kennedy, Sevendust and Wolfgang Van Halen, who will support AAR’s mission to protect and educate artists and creators.
Additionally, AAR announced that acclaimed songwriter and singer Dave Navarro, brother of Dan’s Addiction member, has joined the organization’s board of directors.
“As a long-time artist advocate, Dan brings tremendous expertise, energy and passion for musicians’ rights to ARA’s efforts,” shared ARA Executive Director Jen Jacobsen. “The ARA Board of Directors is pleased to work closely with Dan to ensure artists are educated, protected and treated fairly in the music marketplace. As we navigate the murky waters of streaming royalties, prevent artificial intelligence from infringing on artists’ rights, and fight to establish a Dan’s voice will be a welcome addition to our team as we fully support a transparent ticketing system for artists and fans. We are delighted to have Dan on board.
“I am honored and excited to join the ARA Board of Directors and advance its important work,” Navarro added. “In an age where artists’ rights are often threatened by technology, ignored by the industry, and underserved by public policy. There is so much work to be done, and I’m happy to help.
