Armie Hammer Says he’s starting a new life back in Los Angeles… which means parting ways with a gas-guzzling truck full of happy family memories.
The actor said he had to sell a truck he’d owned for seven years because the cost of filling the tank was getting out of control…and despite his children begging him not to kiss the car goodbye, he took it to CarMax.
Amy is cleaning out the car before finalizing the deal, and he’s reminiscing about all the family road trips and milestones he’s experienced behind the wheel… including bringing his kids home from the hospital.
AH said his children wanted him to continue driving a truck, but with gas prices well over $4 a gallon in Los Angeles, traffic congestion, and city driving, Armie said that was no longer practical for him.
Instead, Amy says he’s downsizing to a small hybrid… He says he’s coping with the loss of a loved one by constantly reminding himself of all the money he’ll save on gas and how easy parking will be situation.

Armie said he bought the car as a Christmas present to himself in 2017… and it’s clear from the video how much the car means to him and his children.
On the eve of Amy’s birthday, it’s a hard nut to swallow for him… but he says he has no choice but to start over with a new car, apartment and life.
