“My heart is broken, I lost my mother this past weekend. Sadly, in a tragic incident, my sister lost her life the same day,” the singer said in a statement to TMZ.
Maria added: “I was lucky enough to be able to spend the last week with my mum before she passed away.”
“I appreciate everyone’s love and support and respect for my privacy during this difficult time,” she wrote in the message.
The cause of Patricia and Allison’s deaths is currently unknown.
