Matt Barnes Said his son had had a pretty rough week…because not only had a car hit him – but he also needed emergency surgery for a different problem!
The former Los Angeles Lakers player shared the news Sunday morning… posting a photo of his son Zai Lying on a gurney in the hospital – pointing his middle finger at his father.
MB recaps this week’s timeline…explaining that Zay was first hit by a car while jogging on Wednesday – a scary enough moment that many might think actually landed him in the hospital.
However, it turns out that Zai took the hit well… competing in the Mamba League Invitational – a high school tournament created in 2009. Kobe BryantMy pleasure – Friday.
But that night, Barnes said Zay came to him and his mother with severe stomach pains. The two rushed him to hospital, where doctors performed emergency appendix surgery, Barnes said, adding that one doctor described it as “the largest unruptured appendix he had ever seen.”
Barnes said his baby is doing well… Zay also posted a photo of himself leaving the hospital today and said he had been discharged.
It looks like Zay will be fine, just a little tired at the end of a rough week.
