Leeds, UK (CelebrityAccess) – The Leeds Music Festival was forced to close several stages on Friday as strong winds from Storm Lillian hit.
The storm brought high winds and rain to parts of England on Friday morning, rendering several of the festival’s more than 10 stages unusable.
In a statement posted on social media, festival organizers said: “It’s been a tough morning but we’re aiming for a Frosty Live show between 1:45 and 2 p.m. Bru-C will be performing in the afternoon Appeared on the main stage at 3:10.
The Chevron, BBC and Radio 1 & Aux stages will remain closed today, with the BBC Introducing stage operating as normal from around 3pm. More information about the Festival Republic stage will be released at a later date.
It’s unclear whether artists affected by weather cancellations, such as Beabadoobee, Ashnikko or Artemas, will reschedule their shows.
Leeds 2024 is scheduled to take place from August 23 to 25, with a lineup including Blink-182, Lana Del Rey, Fontaines DC, Raye, The Prodigy and more.
