NEW YORK CITY (CelebrityAccess) — Alternative metal icons Helmet have announced they will cancel their upcoming Local H tour, citing financial difficulties.
In a post shared on Instagram on Wednesday, a representative for the band said:
Helmet regrets to announce that we have had to cancel our upcoming US tour with Local H. We look forward to getting back on the road in 2025.
“As much as we would love to get back to playing away games, this match is not the right one for us. We are excited about our upcoming European tour in November/December, which is looking great and we will be back in 2025 Back for more U.S. shows next year,” added Helmet vocalist and lead guitarist Page Hamilton.
The tour, commemorating the 30th anniversary of Helmet’s 1994 album “Betty,” was scheduled for September 19 at Wally’s in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, and October 10 at the Machine in Flint Shop is over.
Tickets are still on sale for the group’s European shows scheduled for later this year.
