Jana Duggar married Stephen Wissmann on Thursday, August 15, confirming recently leaked news about her secret wedding plans.
The wedding party included many members of the bride’s extended family, including at least one sister-in-law.
However, Jill Duggar was not the bridesmaid. This left fans wondering if she received the invitation.

Although they didn’t announce their wedding to fans, Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann got married in front of 500 guests.
Jana’s bridesmaids included Joy Anna Duggar, Johanna Duggar, Jinger Duggar and Jordyn Duggar. Sister-in-law Abby Duggar was also one of her bridesmaids.
Fans couldn’t help but notice that Jill Duggar wasn’t in the wedding party. Given that she became the “black sheep” of the family after speaking out against the Duggar cult, fans wondered if Jana hadn’t invited her at all.
However, Jill Duggar was very present at Jana’s wedding. The same goes for her husband, Derek Dillard.
On Instagram, Jill shared photos and videos from Jana and Stephen’s wedding. In the post, we see Jill and Derek posing next to the newlyweds. They even show up with the extended Duggar family.
Most couples would probably struggle to fill 500 seats at their wedding. In the fundamentalist world, as Gill put it in the comments, a large extended family means “space is tight”, so their three children did not attend.

Jill Duggar declared in the comments that she was “definitely not going to miss this opportunity!”
She also directly confirmed in another comment: “Yes, we were invited to attend. She is a beautiful bride.
“We wish them all the best,” Gill said.
Additionally, Jill Duggar noted that several crew members are from 19 Children and Counting and Count on Made a guest list.
Fortunately, Jana’s brother Josh was unable to attend. He is in prison where he belongs. Oddly enough, his wife Anna Dugger did Make a guest list. Either way, inviting her is a big deal, and it’s usually best to choose kindness toward someone in an unfortunate situation. Many believe Anna was also a victim of the cult’s rules and Jodo’s many betrayals.

Jana Duggar is moving into a new home in another state with Stephen. So, in many ways, this wedding can be a family send-off.
