Taylor Swift just fired another shot at her feud with Kanye West.
It’s no surprise that her legion of loyal fans are loving the latest shade.
As we previously reported, Taylor recently ended Kanye’s streak of No. 1 albums after his latest album failed to steal the top spot from her Tormented Poets Department.
Taylor Swift laps Kanye West to victory
Now, Taylor is celebrating her victory over her longtime rival in a subtle yet glorious way.
If you’re a Swiftie, then you know Taylor loves hiding lyrical Easter eggs for her fans to find. The song is a two-parter in which Taylor uses a title to throw shade at some of the people she hates the most.
The song debuted on TTPD in April and was originally titled “thanK you aIMee.”
Capital letters spell out “Kim,” presumably in reference to Taylor’s feud with Kim Kardashian.
Of course Kim supported Kanye when he bullied and belittled Taylor with his song “Famous.”
This week, Taylor released a new version of the song, recorded at her June 22 concert (and appropriately mash-up with her 2011 song “Mean”).
This time, the song is titled “Thank You, aimEe,” with capital letters spelling out “Ye.”
as people Taylor’s fans are reportedly having a great time hanging out in the pop icon’s shadow.
“We love the queen of darkness,” one user wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“Taylor changing the letters of her thank you Amy from ‘Kim’ to ‘Ye’ was a very representative thing for her to do,” another person chimed in, adding a snake emoji for good measure standard.
Taylor vents her frustrations through music
Of course, Taylor often uses her lyrics to express her heartbreak or anger during a breakup or feud. Her candor is one of the things fans love most about her.
“Thank You AimEe” is one of her angriest songs to date. This week’s title change further confirms the circumstances that inspired her writing.
“While you’re pumping your fist, I’m building something,” Taylor sings.
“I can’t forgive the way you made me feel/As the blood spurted out and you screamed ‘F— you, Amy’ into the night sky/But I can’t forget the way you made me heal.”
Yes, Taylor is clearly not a fan of Kanye.
With her latest victory on the leaderboard, she may have just scored a decisive victory in their battle.
