upcoming britney spears The biopic has a chance to get even more authentic… because the new owners of the singer’s childhood home are inviting Universal Pictures to shoot on location.
The current owner of Spears’ old mansion in Kentwood, Louisiana, told TMZ … she’s totally fine with a camera crew coming there to film scenes for the Britney movie.
It sounds like the owners are willing to go to great lengths to make this happen… She told us she’s fine with the production company moving out her furniture and bringing in their own sets, which will be needed to accurately recreate Britney’s 1980s and 1990s childhood environment.
What’s more, the owner tells us she’s willing to move out of the home no matter how long filming takes, but of course, she wants financial compensation… which is common practice in the film industry.
TMZ broke the story… Britney’s childhood home Listed It sold last November for $1.2 million — the owners lived there until the sale — and kept some, but not all, of the original furnishings.
The original dance studio where Britney Spears began her journey to superstardom is still there… ditto, as well as some childhood graffiti on the walls, including obvious sarcasm christina aguileraplus a specific message that read “Love Britney” and allegedly some artwork left behind by the Brit.
It’s unclear if Universal plans to film the movie in Kentwood or simply redevelop the home on the studio grounds… but the offer is out there.

Meanwhile, Mayor Kentwood Alma T. Gordon TMZ tells TMZ …the town has no problem with the influx of film crews as they hope the film will boost tourism.
Gordon said a bigger, better Britney Spears museum is being built in Kentwood with the goal of having it completed in time for the release of the movie, which has no set release date.
