Gun registered to notorious cop killer Christopher Dorner During the arrest of two men suspected of armed robbery of a $1 million watch, Dorner was found…and crazy thing is, Dorner had been dead for over a decade.
Los Angeles prosecutors said Beverly Hills police found a handgun registered to a Dorna when they searched the suspect’s Airbnb on Saturday morning.
The gun was a Glock 21 .45-caliber handgun … and prosecutors said it was loaded and hidden in a pillowcase when police found it during a search. Authorities also released photos purportedly showing one of the suspects holding a gun.
Dorner, of course, is the notorious former LAPD officer accused of murdering four people, including a police officer, in 2013, a case that sparked a nine-day manhunt. ended with Dona’s death. at a remote cabin in Big Bear, California, after a violent shootout with police.
Two South American citizens robbed a man at gunpoint of a $1 million Patek Philippe watch as he dined with his wife and two daughters on the patio of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel last week, prosecutors said.
It’s unclear how the men obtained the gun registered to Dorner … but prosecutors said police located the suspects, arrested them and then discovered the weapon while executing a search warrant.
Prosecutors say 21-year-old Jamel Mauricio Sepulveda Charged with one count of robbery interfering with commerce (Hobbs Act) and one count of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a violent crime.
At the same time, the 19-year-old Jesus Eduardo Padron Charged with one count of conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act robbery.
If convicted on all counts, Sepulveda faces up to life in federal prison… and Padron faces up to 20 years in prison.
