Byron Bay, New South Wales (CelebrityAccess) – Byron Bay Bluesfest, the long-standing Australian music festival, has announced that it will hold its final curtain call in 2025.
In a statement announcing the decision, the organizers said: Australia’s premier and most award-winning Byron Bay Blues Festival is proud to announce that 2025 will be its final curtain call. For 35 years this legendary institution has been celebrating the very best in blues, roots music and other musical genres, bringing the world’s greatest artists to Australia as well as a host of our own, and will be held at the legendary Byron Event Farm ( The last music festival was held at Byron Events Farm, located in the suburbs of Byron Bay, New South Wales, Australia.
As the final chapter of the Blues Festival’s iconic legacy approaches, fans are urged to become a part of history. The first of many artist announcements for the 2025 festival will be revealed in a week, with a line-up expected to be worthy of the momentous occasion. This is the last chance to experience the magic, music and memories that make Bluesfest the beloved institution it is, and we look forward to many of the greatest artists as well as a host of first-timers joining us in the festivities, with artist announcements coming soon.
Founded in 1990 by Dan Doeppel and Kevin Oxford, the festival annually features a group of blues and roots performers, including local Australian performers and international touring artists.
Since 1995, the festival has been orchestrated by Peter Noble, who became the event’s exclusive owner in 2008.
