The Bachelor has a new face to lead the show’s next season… but it’s someone you might already be familiar with.
On Monday night, ABC announced Grant Ellis — a contestant on this season’s “The Bachelorette” — will star in Season 29 of “The Bachelor,” which will air on the network in 2025.
Ellis becomes second Black Bachelor to direct long-running franchise Matt Jameswho is the first.
If you’re not a fan of The Bachelor…that means single Ellis will be given a love list from which he will ultimately choose his fiancée. Ellis will eliminate participants one by one over several episodes until he makes his final choice and proposes to her.
Meanwhile, on The Bachelorette , Ellis was recently sent away after professing her love for the title character, Chen Ren.
Tran also gave the boots to two other people— Spencer Conley and Sam McKinney –The August 12 episode.
After the loss, Ellis spoke of his disappointment, saying he poured his heart into it but it wasn’t good enough for Tran. He says it’s “too bad” because he feels something for her, but she clearly doesn’t feel the same way.
But now Ellis has another chance at love.
