Miley Cyrus took on the role of Hannah Montana in a very special performance and Disney fans were treated to the best of both worlds.
An entire generation remembers Miley’s rise to superstardom as a Disney Channel darling.
It’s been 18 years since Miley debuted her alter ego Hannah Montana, and fans are excited to see that she’s got Hannah for a very special reason Montana) comes out of retirement.

Each year, House of Mouse celebrates the creative contributors to its enduring brand. For the past decade or so, an awards ceremony for new Disney Legends has been held at the D23 Expo.
It’s like Comic-Con, but only a Disney thing!
This year, Miley Cyrus was honored at the event along with 14 actors, musicians, entertainers and others. It promises to be a highlight of the fair, which ends on Sunday 11 August.
Details of the incident have been kept secret. The only certainty is who will be inducted and that the event will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
However, past musical guests who have been named Disney Legends have performed before receiving this honor. For example, when Christina Aguilera joined the company in 2019, she performed “Reflections” from the movie “Mulan”.
2011 Paige O’Hara, Lea Salonga, Anika Noni Rose and Jodi Bensen –The voice actors of Disney princesses Belle, Jasmine, Tiana and Ariel perform together after being named Legends.
So it’s not unthinkable that Miley would perform in her legendary performance.
The real question is–what will she sing?

Perhaps the most iconic and beloved song from Miley’s time as Hannah Montana is “The Climb.” from Hannah Montana movie soundtrack, it’s a song Miley herself has enjoyed performing on every tour since taking off her blonde wig.
But Miley decided to throw it all back to Hannah’s roots and performed the Hannah Montana theme song “Best of Both Worlds.”

But exactly, she didn’t do that. Lo and behold, there were first rumors that Miley would be wearing a wig again and rocking it on stage. But instead, Lenny Wilson performed “The Best of Both Worlds” while Miley watched from the front row!
However, eagle-eyed fans discovered that the newly crowned Disney legend not only sang word for word, but also danced from her seat!
Is it the same? No. Will we accept it as such? Yes!
Miley still hugs Hannah
“I’m Hannah Montana and I’m very proud of it,” Miley choked up during her Disney Legends speech. “I stand here still proud to be Hannah Montana because she shaped Miley in so many ways.”
When asked about her experience as Disney’s number one star over the years, Miley confessed that it was a lot of work, but she looks back on it fondly.
during an interview W magazine, Miley reflects on all the hard work that led to her becoming the youngest person ever to receive the Disney Legend honor.
“People’s careers last 50 or 60 years, but mine is closer to 20 years, and I’m 31 years old. I’ve spent more time in the public eye than I have in my life,” she said. However, she still describes her time at Disney as “overall a great, safe experience.”
“They say the creative adults are the children who survived. I worked very hard as a kid,” she continued.
And she did. Miley also recognizes that much of her success as an adult has to do with her childhood personality. That’s why she often calls Hannah back on her social media pages.
She even wrote the song “Once Upon a Time” as a tribute to the child who fought to become the woman she is today.
In the lyrics, Cyrus mentions how her appearance has changed over the years. “I’m dressed differently/I’m no longer the person you said you were yesterday/I’ve gone my separate ways.”
She also wore a vintage Mickey Mouse T-shirt, again indicating the song’s connection to the time when she played Hannah.
During her ABC special, she said wearing the T-shirt underneath a Maison Margiela jumpsuit custom-made for her by designer John Galliano “got the true meaning of the song” because it showcased the level.
