PARIS, France (CelebrtyAccess) – “Sick Mode” rapper Travis Scott has been arrested in France following an altercation between a security guard and members of Scott’s security team at a Paris hotel.
In a statement provided to NBC News, a representative from the Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed that Scott was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a hotel security guard.
When the alleged attack occurred, security attempted to intervene and separate Scott, 33, from his bodyguard, the statement said.
Scott, whose real name is Jacques Belmont Webster II, remained in custody Friday afternoon as police prepared to question him before deciding possible charges.
It’s unclear why Scott is in Paris, but he has been seen attending Olympic events in recent days, including Thursday’s men’s Olympic basketball semifinals.
