Climbing walls are for cowards…so said a guy who just climbed the Eiffel Tower…and the timing of his stunt couldn’t have been worse.
Watch the video… The man scales the 330-metre-high tower and crosses the blue ring of the Olympic Games symbol… which temporarily perches on this famous landmark.

The incident happened on Sunday afternoon… just three hours before the Olympics closing ceremony, forcing French police to evacuate the area around the tower.
It’s unclear where the climber started his climb… but he was spotted gaining some height around the tower’s first observation deck.
At around 3 p.m., tourists were escorted away by local police… Some tourists were even trapped on the second floor for about 30 minutes.
The Eiffel Tower has been a visible landmark during the Summer Olympics in Paris… and a makeshift stadium was built beneath the looming structure for the beach volleyball portion of the games. It is also used as a backdrop for other activities.
