ADELAIDE, South Australia (CelebrityAccess) – Turmoil in Australia’s music festival market continued on Friday, with organizers of Adelaide’s Harvest Rock Festival announcing the event would be suspended until 2024.
In a statement announcing the change, the festival team said:
“After two years of eating and dancing in Adelaide, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Harvest Rock 2024. This decision has been made to ensure Harvest Rock continues to serve our local, national and international fans Bringing the experience. We sincerely thank the South Australian Government for their continued support of Harvest Rock.
“For loyal fans who purchased tickets in advance for 2023, you will be automatically refunded within 14 days through the original point of purchase. We look forward to launching another amazing Harvest Rock in the future.
The two-day festival, which takes place in Adelaide in October, will feature an international line-up including Jamiroquai, Beck, Nile Rodgers & Chic, Bright Eyes and more when it debuts in 2022.
While no reason for the cancellation was provided, representatives from producer Secret Sounds told the Adelaide Advertiser they were unable to book suitable headline acts for this year’s show.
Harvest Rock joins the list of Australian music festivals canceled this year, including Splendor in the Grass and Groovin The Moo.
