Ed Kyles thinks Kanye West is mentally unstable, and he’s just letting the rapper and the world know it.
We really didn’t think we’d write a sentence today.
However, the father of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — also known as Taylor Swift’s adorable and awesome boyfriend, of course — is listening Kanye West’s new song “Lifestyle (Demo)” has gotten quite a buzz this week.
Specifically, Ed took issue with lyrics that referenced Swift and his son.
On Thursday, August 8, he retweeted a Daily Mail article about the lyrical content on Facebook, writing: “Mental illness is on full display.”
West, it is actually worth noting that have Diagnosed with bipolar disorder… he mentioned the super-famous couple by name in the aforementioned single.
“I’m like Travis Kelce, tightening the Taylor spliff at the end,” Kanye raps, a pun on Swift’s name and Travis’ position in the NFL.
Of course, he had much worse things to say about Taylor in previous songs.
Back in February 2016, Kanye released the song “Famous,” which contained the following controversial lyrics: I think Taylor and I might still have sex. / Why? I made that bitch famous.
Swift strikes back difficult objected to such insulting lines, and a recording of a phone call between her and West was leaked, conclusively proving that she did not give the artist permission to say any such thing in any verse of any single.
Meanwhile, Taylor seemed to make multiple references to Kanye and her ongoing feud with the loser; via tracks like “I Did Something Bad” and “That’s Why We Can’t Have Nice Things.”
This fight has been going on for over a decade – although, let’s be honest, it’s also been pretty one-sided.
Swift is clearly at the top.
So now we have Ed Kelce hilariously involved again in a way.
Neither Taylor nor Travis have spoken publicly about West’s name dropping.
However, fans of the pop star think she cleverly left an Easter egg during her Aug. 3 concert in Warsaw, Poland.
Among her red ensembles, Swift wore a graphic T-shirt that read “I Bet You’ll Miss Me.”
Late last year, Swift reflected on the ugly nature of her relationship with West and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian in an interview with Time magazine, citing the controversy surrounding the lyrics above.
“There’s no question that my career was taken away from me,” Taylor said at the time.
“You have a completely fabricated frame-up of an illegally recorded phone call that Kim Kardashian edited and then told everyone that I was a liar.
“It dropped me psychologically to a place I’d never been. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave my rental house for a year. I was afraid to answer the phone. I pushed away most people in my life, Because I don’t trust anyone anymore.
“I feel really, really bad.”
