LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — Music legend Sir Rod Stewart canceled his final show Thursday at his longtime residency at Caesars Palace on the Las Vegas Strip.
Stewart canceled the show, which would have been his 200th performance, citing illness.
“I’m so sorry to miss the 200th edition of the show. Most people can get strep throat, but obviously not me,” the music icon shared via social media on Thursday.
The show, scheduled for Aug. 7, is intended to be the finale of Stewart’s residency at Caesars Palace, now in its 13th year.
Luckily for fans, Stewart has announced that he will be returning to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in 2025 for a new residency called “Encore Shows,” where Stewart will revisit some of his most recent performances. Hot hits, plus swings, deep cuts and “surprises” from the songbook.
“I am completely devastated. I have been looking forward to this concert for a long time. I apologize for any inconvenience caused. Thankfully we will be back in 2025 and hope to see you there,” he added road.
