Blake Lively and Justin Bardoni play contentious lovers in their new movie, It all ends with usbut fans talk more about what happened to them off-screen than on it.
Internet detectives have been lacking since time immemorial. don’t worry honey “Evidence” has been pieced together to suggest that the film’s stars were actually fighting each other.
Don’t worry; we’ve gathered all the receipts, evidence, timelines, screenshots we need to tell the story correctly, but even so, the question remains:
Are Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni feuding?
“This Is How We End” stars fighting? Why TikTok is convinced Blake and Justin are out
Star producer Blake Lively’s feud with co-star Justin Baldoni, who also directed Colleen Hoover Hoover’s beloved novel may not be the opening weekend headliner that everyone involved was hoping for.
However, in the days leading up to the film’s release, fans on social media couldn’t help but notice (or wildly speculate, your choice) some tension between the two.
First, Justin was noticeably absent from the joint press conference. As both director and star, you’d think he’d be talking about the film in a very compelling way.
But hey, maybe that person is sick or assigned to something else. At least he was at the New York premiere…
But then he didn’t pose with Blake Lively, which raised eyebrows. Of course, he brought his wife, and Blake also brought Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
But there is no photo of the two of them together. This is… strange.
And then, as if all of that wasn’t enough, the most shocking evidence came to us. Blake Lively and writer Colleen Hoover, among other actors, don’t follow Justin on Instagram.
Even though he followed everyone!
Honestly, what more evidence do you need in 2024!
Why Blake and Justin had a falling out
Of course, we’re kidding. Who you follow/unfollow on social media doesn’t really prove anything.
Remember MySpace and how you brutally ranked your friends, proving who was more important to you in a numbered list that everyone could see? Bring it back and we’ll talk!
Still, there seems to be some truth to the story, which is that Blake and Justin are at least not soulmates.
sources revealed hollywood reporter “During post-production, a disagreement arose between the filmmakers and two different cuts of the film emerged.”
As a director, Justin should of course have the biggest say in the creative direction of the film. However, as a producer on the film, Black was not only the star of the film but also expressed her feelings about the film, which led to her allegedly lending her own power to create a new cut of the film.
According to multiple sources, Black commissioned editor Shane Reid, who was the director of ” Deadpool and Wolverineand produced the Lively-directed music video for Taylor Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me.”
At this time, it’s unclear which part of the movie will be released in theaters. However, another insider interviewed THR “downplayed any friction and noted that it’s not uncommon for a film to have multiple cuts during the post-editing process, adding that the team had agreed on the final cut.”
Is Ryan Reynolds to blame for the rift?
Another idea fans of the narrative can’t seem to let go of is the idea that Blake’s husband overstepped his authority and took control of the script under her bequest to keep creative control in her hands.
The theory took off after she revealed at the film’s world premiere that Ryan actually wrote a key scene at the beginning of the film. “We help each other. He does everything I do. I do everything he does. So his wins, his celebrations are mine, and mine are his,” she said.
The scene is the rooftop moment when Blake’s Lily meets Justin’s Ryall for the first time.
Again confirming that Ryan did write a chunk of dialogue for this scene, but THRInsiders insist he didn’t write the entire scene. Credit goes to screenwriter Kristy Hall.
Will the feud kill the chances of a sequel?
Although there have been many rumors about Blake and Justin’s feud, neither man has publicly addressed the feud rumors.
In fact, when Justin spoke to the Today Show, he had nothing but glowing things to say about Blake.
“I think she’s best known as an actress, and of course she’s a fashion icon, but she’s so much more than that,” he said of Blake. “She’s a dynamic creative. She’s hands-on in every part of this production, and everything she touches makes it better.
It’s hard to tell if he means it (he’s an actor, after all), but the crucial final piece of the puzzle may become apparent in the coming weeks.
look, It all ends with us Destined to be a box office hit. nothing to compete with Deadpool and Wolverinebut hot topics about a sequel are already circulating.
Hoover’s 2022 sequel novel, start with uswhich only works if Justin’s character Lyle returns. While it’s unclear if the studio will greenlight another go-around, if Justin exits the project, it would be a clear sign that the movie isn’t all sunshine and daisies.
Guess only time — or Blake’s Instagram following list — will tell.
