2024 is going to be a weird year for Nicki Minaj, but will it really end in divorce?
From feuds with other female rappers to hiccups on the Pink Lady 2 tour, the end of her marriage is the last thing she should have to face right now.
However, when she was arrested in Amsterdam in May, with police saying they found “dozens of joints” in her luggage, fans noticed two sentences Nikki posted on Insta Live suggesting her marriage was over Finish.

Well, Nicki Minaj was arrested in Amsterdam over Memorial Day weekend 20204. It turned out to be a misunderstanding, but over the next few days, Nikki became more outspoken on her social media.
On June 10, the rapper took to Twitter to talk about a lot of things to the camera. Wearing a silk headscarf and pajamas.
First, she delved into giving birth to her son in 2020 at the time. Then one day, a beautiful baby boy was born.
Mina then gets a little quiet and whispers into the camera: “Thank God for your glory. Congratulations to him and my mom, you’re doing a great job. If no one tells you this, you’re doing a great job.” alright.
Of course, this is a very beautiful emotion. For her part, Mina seems to be simply sharing how grateful she is to have the life of her own, the son she’s always wanted, and the love of a mother from afar.

But then a new narrative began to take hold. In a video shared hours after a new slew of divorce rumors began circulating on social media, the Grammy winner shared a cryptic post that read:
“Yes, single.”
Is Nicki Minaj single? not yet…
The followers immediately began to panic.
Is this a hint that she is giving up her official single? pink friday 2 Album?
Or was she referring to the union between herself and her controversial husband Kenneth Petty?
Unsure Mina supporters don’t know what to make of it all.
For example, user @Bunbarbive said: “Just saw Nicki’s IG story and now I’m worried, I don’t even know what’s wrong with her.”
“She scares me,” another person wrote.
But as soon as the Barbs started to get hysterical, Nikki tried to calm their fears. While she didn’t elaborate on what she meant by the “single” comment, two days later she posted a video of a family outing.
The adorable clip shows Nicky and Ken as parents boarding a private jet with their son, known to the public as “Papa Bear.”
They look happy, healthy, and totally together.
So, all is well with the world…until…
Nicki Minaj’s marriage screams: Why not divorce?
As a reminder, Petty is a registered Level 2 sex offender in New York and has spent several years in prison for first-degree attempted rape and first-degree manslaughter.
He and Mina got married in 2019.
After moving to California to be with Mina in 2020, Petty failed to register as a sex offender with the state… so he was sentenced to house arrest and probation in 2022.
Nikki has fiercely defended her husband from haters and critics, but both groups have something new to latch on to after she seemingly lashed out at her sister.
In August, Nikki went on a tirade while chatting with fans on Stationhead, reportedly because her sister had spoken about their estranged relationship in a recent interview.
In the video, Nikki questions why an unknown person would speak publicly about “their loved one.”
“Why would one want to talk publicly about a private matter? Why would one do that? If someone wanted to interview you, who would you talk about in the interview? Yourself?” she asked.
Nikki then said her comment was about a relative.
“I think you all think of giftedness like a cold. Or maybe people can pass it on genetically. Even if we’re related by blood, what God gave me is mine,” she shared.
“You have to get it for yourself. You have to discover what you’re good at. I don’t have gangster or clown genes in my genes.
That last sentence was what it did to her.
“How’s the divorce going?” asked one fan on X, while another commenter said: “Your favorite guy is still married to a fool and a clown.”
That’s it – for now, Nikki is still married to Patty. But will this last? That remains to be seen.
