Sometimes it helps to have a good friend on the red carpet. This is a fact cate blanchett reminded everyone she had a wardrobe malfunction and got some help from her co-stars to cover it up Jamie Lee Curtis.
The two walked the red carpet together at a special fan screening their new action comedy Borderlands Blanchett burst into tears of laughter during a very intimate interview with ET’s Danny DeLeto when she and Curtis spoke together in Hollywood on Tuesday.
The two tried to make it a fun and playful moment by pretending there was nothing wrong with Blanchett’s pants, and just thought the moment was appropriate for some friendly hugging on the red carpet.
“Nothing happened! You know what happened? I got her back,” Curtis said, and Blanchett laughed.
Blanchett believes that this protective, supportive nature is at the core of Curtis and all of her costars.
“She’s been the nest mom in every movie Jamie’s made,” Blanchett shared with a smile.
Borderlands– Based on the best-selling video game series of the same name, the film follows bounty hunter Lilith (Blanchett) as she reluctantly returns to her chaotic dumpster-fire home planet of Pandora on an important mission to find a missing person. The powerful and dangerous daughter of Atlas (Edgar Ramirez).
Along the way, she assembles a ragtag team, including mercenary Roland (Kevin Hart), eccentric scientist Tanis (Jamie Lee Curtis), the wisecracking robot Claptrap (jack black), wild young blaster Tiny Tina (Ariana Greenblatt) and her protector Krieger (Florian Munteanu).
