LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — CBS and Dick Clark Productions have announced that the American Music Awards will not take place in 2024 and will be replaced this year with a special two-hour broadcast to honor the esteemed event 50th anniversary of the awards ceremony.
The show, scheduled to air live on CBS on October 6, will feature a host of “iconic moments” and performances from the awards show’s 50-year history. The anniversary special will also include new performances, artist interviews and exclusive never-before-seen footage from the DCP archives.
The show will air simulcast on CBS Television Network (Paramount+) from 8:00-10:00 PM ET (5:00-7:00 PM PT) and on-demand on Paramount+ Premium subscriber.
Additionally, DCP and CBS announced that the American Music Awards will return in 2025 for the first time since 2022.
