Zac EfronThe pool incident began when he jumped into the water… going so deep he hit the bottom of the pool and inhaled water into his lungs… TMZ has learned.
Sources close to the situation tell us Zac was swimming with friends in Ibiza early on Saturday morning when he decided to take a dive.
We’re told that when Zack hit his chest on the bottom of the pool while diving, he inhaled a large amount of water into his lungs… He showed signs of pain and was helped out of the water by on-site security.
Our sources say Zach felt dizzy at the time and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

During our trip to the hospital, we were told Zach had a chest X-ray to confirm that the water in his lungs was gone. He was released from the hospital within hours but remained in the hospital because there were numerous photos out there that showed he was there.
Zach since posted a photo He started exercising the next day… and our sources say he resumed his normal schedule after returning to the villa from the hospital.
In fact, our sources say Zac went out to dinner in Ibiza on Sunday night and returned to the U.S. today… and he’s back home and healthy.
Sounds like he dodged a bullet!
