Public threats suggest Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are facing murder plots.
Fortunately, both athletes are alive and healthy.
Authorities have arrested a man who threatened to shoot two football players at a Morgan Wallen concert.
It’s unclear whether this is a real threat or a horrifying (but thankfully hollow) prank.
It all started with Morgan Wallen’s journey
Morgan Wallen is currently on his One Night At A Time world tour. He performed at Arrowhead Stadium, which happens to be home to the current Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.
(This story is unlikely to change your mind about Morgan Wallen concert attendees.)

The offensive tweet no longer appears to be on Twitter. However, according to court documents, its contents TMZ and other reports.
“gentlemen. [redacted] and wife at arrow. if he takes it out [redacted] or [redacted] I’ll take a shot. Oh shit! And fuck you, fuck you! Court documents describing the tweet, which was posted shortly before the concert, said.

Authorities arrest in connection with murder conspiracy
Police arrested 23-year-old Aaron Brown. The Winchester, Ill., native now faces a Class E felony charge of making a terroristic threat in the second degree. His bail was set at $15,000.
According to reports, authorities identified Brown as the user “Gooey Bag” behind the tweet. He was apparently at the stadium when police contacted him.
Sure enough, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were at Arrowhead Stadium.
Social media makes people excited Yett The ideas they presented to the world had many shortcomings. Sometimes, that means legal trouble.
“This was a stupid, stupid, stupid mistake,” Aaron Brown said of the tweet describing a murder plot against Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
According to court documents, he was “freaking out” that his shocking tweets had reached authorities.
Thankfully, both Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are fine
If they were in any danger, the authorities seemed to stop them. Many on social media have now concluded the murder plot was disingenuous. Hostile, but insincere.
However, there is no difference between making “joking” terrorist threats on social media and actual murder plots. Some people try to kill famous people. Some people aim to harm others at crowded events.
It’s really best to keep your worst impulses under control. One ill-advised social media post can turn your entire life upside down.
