The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper was in the booth with Cantor during halftime of the women’s quarterfinal matchup between the United States and Japan on Saturday. This marks Snoop Dogg’s first ever Olympic soccer match, and he’s also excited to see other His signature goal is Plays for Telemundo Deportes. Cantor’s famous phone call even got a hilarious commercial treatment Gekko and Pepsi.
After Snoop shared that he was a big fan of the announcer, Cantor responded that he would teach him how to properly call goals in the announcer’s booth. Snoopy was excited about the class, to say the least. They set off after a goal from pretend midfielder Lindsay Horan:
“Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
“Boy, you gotta grab that thing,” Snoopy then quipped. “He knows how to hold that thing for too long.”
After giving him his own customized Team USA jersey, Cantor reminded Snoop that Telemundo Deportes had the rights to the 2026 World Cup, prompting Cantor to invite Snoop to join the network as his backup. Not only did Snoopy happily agree, but he also shouted in Spanish! –To the Telemundo affiliate in Los Angeles.
