The Olympian had just won gold in the men’s 100m with a heartbreaking finish… narrowly edging out Jamaica’s Keeshan Thompson Winning the Olympic gold medal by 0.005 seconds.

In fact, the fight was so close that commentators initially thought Thompson was the winner…but the final photos proved otherwise.
With Lyles’ victory, he took home the gold medal and the unofficial title of Olympic 100m champion – “the fastest man in the world”… It’s a huge honor, especially Considering the X Bee NL that I participated in last year.
ICYMI… Lyles won three gold medals at last year’s World Athletics Games in Budapest and immediately accused the NBA title holders of calling themselves world champions because they only competed against other North American teams.
