Mulder’s Puddle Wes Scantling He was arrested after a traffic stop turned into a tense confrontation … and police eventually used pepper spray to remove him from the car … according to law enforcement.
Wesley was arrested Wednesday for a traffic violation after his black Hummer H2 was stopped in Burbank and asked to show his ID, the Burbank Police Department told TMZ. Police said they discovered Scantling had an active arrest warrant from a previous case for allegedly possessing a weapon at the airport.
We’re told that when police asked Wesley to get out of the car, he refused… After several attempts, a crisis negotiator came to negotiate, but police said he still wouldn’t budge.
Our sources tell us spray was then deployed, but even that had no effect, forcing SWAT to intervene around 4:00 a.m., breaking the window and firing non-lethal pepper balls, ultimately getting him to surrender and exit the vehicle.
We’re told he was taken to the hospital, leaving his eyes red from the pepper balls, but ultimately he was fine.
Weiss was subsequently jailed on outstanding warrants and a new charge of resisting arrest. We’re told he was subsequently arraigned and released, with a court date set for August 20th.
