LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – New Monkey Studio, originally founded by Elliott Smith, has announced plans to host a special benefit concert in honor of the late singer-songwriter’s 55th birthday.
The show, titled “All My Rowdy Friends,” is scheduled for Tuesday, August 6, at the Regent Theater in Los Angeles, with performances by DJ Anthony Valadez and featuring Elliott’s Figure 8 touring bandmates Scott McPherson, Aaron Embry and Shon Sullivan Performance.
They will be joined by a list of guest artists including Grandaddy’s Jason Lytle and Jim Fairchild, Band of Horses’ Ben Bridwell, Illuminati Hotties, Cheekface, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Kevin Devine, Johanna Samuels, Earlimart, Emily Kinney, mehro, Madison Cunningham , Violet Grohl et al.
Net proceeds from all ticket sales will benefit New Monkey Studio, the unofficial museum of Smith, his musical projects and his collection of vintage recording equipment.
For fans who are unable to attend in person, the show will be broadcast live from the Regent Theater in Los Angeles via live streaming platform Veeps starting at approximately 7:30 pm PST.
