Australian Dance Theater (ADT) Artistic Director Daniel Riley is conducting auditions for the first time since taking up the role in 2021 for new company artists to join the company’s troupe of dancers.
“We are looking for artists who are generous, collaborative, and create dance work in a transversal way,” ADT says on its website. website. Applicants must be Australian citizens and have at least two years of professional dance experience (or equivalent). “We love hearing from emerging and established dance artists who work independently, with companies or have broad interdisciplinary practices.”
Auditions will be held in Sydney (Gadigar Country) on September 7-8 and in Adelaide (Kauna Country) on September 13-14. They will be led by Riley, Artistic Assistant Brianna Kell and ADT Company Artists.
The first day of auditions will include creative tasks, improvisation and learning repertoire. On the second day, selected artists will be interviewed and work closely with the ADT art team. Dancers must be available on both days in the chosen city.
The EOI is now open on Friday 16th August and the closing date is Wednesday 21st August for applicants to receive their results. Click here to learn more.
