Casey Affleck is preparing to celebrate his birthday on August 12 – just three days before his brother’s birthday Ben Affleck Celebrating his own birthday – a day he hopes to recapture after years in the spotlight.
Casey walks the red carpet at the New York premiere his new movie demagogue He spoke with ET’s Rachel Smith at Jazz at Lincoln Center on Wednesday about his upcoming 49th birthday and how he always shares the celebration with Ben.

Looking ahead, with his birthday approaching and a big 5-0 next year, Casey said he hopes to continue challenging himself on the job.
“I really just want to keep working with the people that I love and some of the people that I don’t get a chance to work with, but not focus on trying to climb the ladder, trying to achieve goals, but focus more on the individual work and my own At work I want to meet these challenges and work with people I like and have a good time,” he explains. “[I’m interested in] To see if I can get deeper into being a writer and a director and an actor, and see what else — before it all goes away and everything becomes artificial intelligence and TikTok.
