Taylor Swift issued a statement in response to the tragedy.
A 17-year-old man has been arrested in the UK after he stabbed three children to death at a Swift-themed dance and yoga class in Southport on Monday morning.

She had no connection with the incident.
However, a day after the unspeakable incident, Swift responded on social media.
“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport continues to wash over me and I am completely in shock,” she wrote.
“The loss of life and innocence, and the horrific trauma caused to everyone present, families and first responders.
“These are just kids in dance class. I have absolutely no idea how to express my sympathy to these families.
At a press conference on July 29, Merseyside Police Chief Constable Serena Kennedy confirmed the deaths of the two children.
A third person, 9, died Tuesday.
According to the latest press release, eight other Children were injured, five of whom are in critical condition. Two adults injured in the attack also remain in critical condition.

Meanwhile, local police said a teenager was in custody on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
A statement from Merseyside Police read: “Inquiries are currently ongoing to establish the motive for this tragic incident and we urge people not to speculate while this investigation is ongoing.”
“We can also confirm that the incident is not currently being treated as terror-related and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.”
It is believed the adults injured in the attack had been trying to protect the children at the scene.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer tweeted on Monday: “Terrible and deeply shocking news from Southport.”
“My thoughts are with all those affected. I would like to thank the police and emergency services for their swift response. I will be kept updated as the situation develops.”
