The message read: “I know I have angels watching over me…” which was fitting since the 2008 car accident left him with third-degree burns on 65 percent of his body.
After multiple surgeries and skin grafts, he spent several months in the burn unit, enduring tremendous pain while recovering. Obviously, this boarding was a big deal for him since he started boarding planes again in 2021…it was the first time he’d been on a plane since the accident.
Tragically, this car accident claimed the lives of two close friends; Charles “Che” Steele and Chris Bakerand two pilots. DJ AM He survived the accident but tragically died of a drug overdose a year later.
