Producer Enda Markey has announced the talented cast will join Anna O’Byrne and Marina Prior in Sydney and Melbourne this September Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Carousel” concert.
Charismatic West End star Danny Whitehead will play the coveted role of Billy Bigelow. Whitehead most recently starred in the West End production of Phantom of the Opera Held at Her Majesty’s Theater in London’s West End. His previous UK credits include Narrator BrotherEnjolras is in Pitifulalso evil, Sweeney Todd, South Pacific, Secret Garden and more. His concert works have been performed in some of the UK’s most prestigious venues, including the Royal Albert Hall. This is Whitehead’s first Australian role since moving there last year.
Blake Bowden also joins the famous company as the naive and shy fisherman Enoch Snow. Bowden recently wowed audiences with his role as Brad and Frank ‘n’ Furter in the film The Rocky Horror ShowRaoul in Phantom of the Opera and the elder Price. Book of Mormon.
