Kamala Harris Despite reports that the film wasn’t unveiled at Comic-Con on Saturday… sources tell TMZ it’s an old, resurfaced one.
According to reports… The creator of “The Simpsons” Matt Groening Harris introduced the clip at the end of Saturday’s show’s panel, saying it came from a superfan.
Vice President Harris apparently then appears in the clip… referencing an episode of the popular “Treehouse of Horror” (the title of “The Simpsons” Halloween special) from years ago, which centered on the 1996 election between the presidents bill clinton and republican candidates Bob Dole.
However, TMZ has spoken with sources close to the show … and they tell us it’s a old clips — a show that was taped years ago is now resurfacing because people say it predicted Harris’ candidacy. It wasn’t shot specifically for this year’s Comic-Con.
So, the footage is legit…but it wasn’t filmed recently.
