Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on July 21.
But you’d be forgiven if you didn’t know this.
There’s no agreement between their family members on social media or anything.
In fact, as far as we know, the polarizing parent of 19 didn’t receive well wishes from any of his children.
Even Jana Duggar has not acknowledged the incident, although her relationship with her parents seems to be very strong. (It’s probably worth noting, though, that the 34-year-old no longer lives with them.)
The Duggars married in 1984 and welcomed their eldest son, Josh, four years later.
Of course, he’s now serving more than a decade in prison after being convicted of child pornography possession charges.
As far as we know, Jim Bob and Michelle still visit Josh in jail…which doesn’t make sense when you consider that they helped cover up Josh’s molestation of several of their daughters (and his sisters) back in the day. Not surprisingly.
These are very evil people.
Last summer, Jim Bob and Michelle were also the subjects of an Amazon documentary that delved into the teachings of the church where they raised their children.
They didn’t seem too happy about it at the time either, publicly condemning the project in a statement that read:
“The recent ‘documentary’ about our family is sad because in it we see the media and those who are maliciously harming those we love.
“Like other families, ours has experienced life’s joys and heartbreaks, just in a very public way.
“This ‘documentary’ depicts so much in a derogatory and sensational light because, sadly, that’s the direction entertainment is headed today.”
The documentary includes an interview with Jill Duggar, and her parents responded:
“We have always believed that the best chance of repairing damaged relationships or reconciling differences is through love in a private setting.
“We love every member of our family and will continue to do our best to build great relationships with everyone.
“Through victories and trials, we stand firmer in our faith and find that through the love and grace of Jesus, we find strength, comfort and purpose.”
