Now that I have a tall daughter, I’ve decided to own my height and people are always making comments about my height and hers, although I still make unsolicited comments about it to strangers. Feeling resentful, but I’ve learned to respond to ‘You’re so tall’ with a sincere ‘Thank you so much’ as if it were the highest compliment. I hope my daughter doesn’t feel like she needs to take up less space in the world.
