former middle tennessee punter Kyle Ulbrich is taking a unique approach to making an NFL roster… He’s currently camped out outside the Miami Dolphins’ training facility – hoping to work out with the team!

Ubrich said he started after a friend told him he needed to do something unique to differentiate himself from others vying for a coveted spot on Miami’s 2024-25 roster. this journey.
“I played in the Hard Rock Band [Stadium] Before,” Ulbricht said. “I’ve played in big atmospheres before, and boys would say, ‘You can if you want. You’ve got nothing to lose.
Ulbricht said he had to drive about four hours to get to the facility, and he said his fiancée actually made him express that he had been shown since he arrived.
As it turns out, he was noticed almost immediately by whoever the Dolphins hired him to be… though not for the exact reasons he’d hoped. members of the organization. Come out and tell him he has to move…because he’s a little too close to the entrance.

Then Kyle walked across the street…and while he’s not sure if the players and coaches can see him there now – he’s made it clear he’s not prepared to be denied.
He was trying to figure out a solution to a problem – the heat in Miami… because he wanted to save some money by sleeping in his car while camping.
“[My ride] It has a feature where if you leave it running and sit in the park for 30 minutes, it turns off,” he said. “I didn’t think it would be really painful, except for the fact that I woke up dripping wet at the end. I must have sweated a gallon.
If the Dolphins — or any pro team — take a chance on Ulbricht, they’ll get a proven punter. During his career with the Blue Raiders … he kicked 224 times, 67 of which went for 50 yards or more, and 73 of which ended inside the 20-yard line.

“If you give me a chance, the worst thing that can happen is that I don’t perform the way I think I should,” he said. “I’m already here, I’m already outside your door. If given the opportunity, I would be very grateful and appreciative.”
