Cape Town, South Africa (CelebrityAccess) — Ticketmaster Announced plans to expand its presence in Africa through the acquisition of Quicket, one of the continent’s leading event and festival ticketing companies.
Ticketmaster said the partnership with Quicket, known for its self-service platform and event organization tools, will enable it to extend its services to event producers and venues of all sizes, from small clubs to large festivals and stadiums.
Additionally, Quicket’s established presence and regional expertise in Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia and Botswana will expand Ticketmaster’s presence in the region while providing access to proven technologies such as encrypted digital mobile ticketing across the continent .
Following the acquisition, Quicket managing director James Tagg will continue to oversee operations as a separate business unit in Cape Town.
