Kamala Harris‘The presidential campaign just got a boost from beyonce — and one of the singer’s biggest hits!
Kamala made her first official visit to her campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, on Monday night, stepping into the spotlight to the tune of Beyoncé’s hit song “Freedom.”
A close friend of Harris told CNN that her team obtained prior authorization from Beyoncé’s representatives to play the song.
This is a big deal because Beyoncé is very protective of her music and has strict rules about anyone using her catalog.
But Kamala passed Bey’s test. CNN said Beyoncé allowed Harris’ team to play “Freedom” within hours of their request.
It looks like Beyoncé is totally on Kamala’s side, and while she hasn’t come out in support of Harris yet, it might just be a matter of time. Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, has offered Kamala her endorsement.
Still, Kamala has not yet been named the Democratic presidential candidate, but she is currently the favorite thanks to strong support from donors and party leaders. It appears she has garnered enough delegate support to cross the finish line.
As you know, Kamala replaced President Biden at the top of the list of candidates after Joe dropped out amid growing pressure from fellow Democrats.
Joe will address the nation later this week about his decision to drop out of the race for the White House.
