In case you missed it… Anna has been online ever since she shared her sartorial itinerary for a family trip to Auschwitz – a black dress and white sandals – with the caption, “The best packing ‘hacks'” attracted huge attention.
Anna shared what she wore at each stop in Poland… including trips to Krakow and Zakopane, but people lashed out at Auschwitz at the sight of it, and she says in hindsight she understands why.
The backlash came so fast and severe that Anna said it cast a dark cloud over what was supposed to be a fun family vacation. Most disturbingly, she said some people even sent her death threats, though she deleted the posts and apologized.
Anna said she was told “you deserve to die” and “hope they kill you while you’re there”.
Anna said that amid all the hate, some in the Jewish community applauded her for being proud of the visit and for wearing respectable clothing.
Anna is still on vacation in Europe, but wisely, she’s no longer reading her own responses.
