Disney live-action remake rumors Tangled The show has taken off in the past few months, with many fans sharing their dream casting tips for who should star. Now, Zachary Levi is sharing his picks for who might be suitable to play the role of Flynn Rider.
Levy walks the carpet at the premiere of his new film, harold and purple crayonOn Sunday in Culver City, Calif., he talked with ET’s Denny Directo about which young stars might step into the live-action shoes of the dashing gangster.

Chalamet Recently appeared in a musical Wonkaplaying the iconic magical chocolate master Willy Wonka in his youth, Playing a young Bob Dylan in the upcoming biopic, A Completely unknowncurrently in production.
Mandy MooreWho voices Rapunzel, has said before Busy she can see Sabrina Carpenter Play as the iconic fairy tale princess. However, Levy shared his thoughts on how he and Moore might figure in a possible remake.
“I thought it would be fun if Mandy and I became Rapunzel’s parents,” Levy shared. “I think it’s going to be a really fun little cameo for us.”
While Disney has yet to make any official announcements about making a live-action remake Tangled, Interest among the Disney fan base is growing, and Levy said he thinks “it’s awesome.”
“I’m very proud of this film and I’m so grateful that I got to be a part of it,” he shared. “I’ve always dreamed of being in a Disney animated musical, and then I got to be in it! And not just any one, I think this is the best one.”
“I’m sad we never got a sequel, but we did make a really fun animated series that ran on Disney Channel for three years,” Levy added. voice flynn Tangled: The Series With Moore on Disney Channel. “There’s talk of doing this live-action movie now – I think that’s great and I’m looking forward to, you know, seeing how good it can all be.”
Meanwhile, Levy will soon appear in harold and purple crayonis a big screen adaptation and reimagining of Crockett Johnson’s iconic 1955 children’s book of the same name.
The film is about imagination, inspiration and finding the spark of creative joy in life – and in Levy’s life, the actor said he found a source of inspiration in his young nephew.
“I just think that when you look for reasons to continue to invest in yourself, to continue to love yourself, to continue to invest in the world and make it a better place, you get stuck. [to feel] On your own, then you have to look at the younger generation and what we’ve left them,” said Levy, who attended Sunday’s premiere with his two nephews.
Levy praised their “endless optimism and love,” explaining, “They always instilled in me that spirit and more.”
