miley cyrus Returning to the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California to perform her hit song “Flowers” and shout out Kendall Jenner.
The Grammy-winning pop star, who hasn’t toured since 2022, performed in front of nearly 200 people at the celebrity gathering on Thursday night. This event is to celebrate the Gucci Flora fragrance that Cyrus has represented since 2021.
Wearing a little black Gucci dress, paired with a chunky gold necklace and black sunglasses, the singer performed in front of the audience, blending fame and fashion in a lively atmosphere. “Why do I sing and you don’t?” she quipped, adding a playful touch to the evening.
“Is that Kendall Jenner playing harmonies?” she joked as she improvised “Flowers”, changing “cherry red” to “ancora red,” a nod to Gucci creative director Saba, who was on hand. A tribute to the colors presented by Sabato De Sarno.
The audience cheered as she sang a post-breakup anthem in a personal way. “I started crying, but then I remembered… I’m the face of Gucci,” she whispered.
Celebrity guests at the event included Jenner, Salma Hayek, Kim Petras, Rumer Willis, Maeve Reilly, Chloe Kim, Kaytranada, Symone, Claudia Sulewski, Law Roach and Yves Tumor.
This isn’t the first time Cyrus has appealed to the masses. February during her grammy performance On “Flowers,” the 31-year-old singer-songwriter took a moment to address the audience, as appearances didn’t give her the energy she expected.
“Why are you acting like you don’t even know this song?” Cyrus said on the Grammys stage.
Two viewers who were unaffected by this criticism were Taylor Swift and Oprah WinfreyBoth were spotted jamming to the song in the crowd, dancing to the lyrics as Cyrus continued belting out her now Grammy-winning song.
The “Wrecking Ball” singer also used a pause in the song to express her excitement for her first Grammy, which she won for Best Pop Solo Performance for “Flowers.”
“I just won my first Grammy!!” the ebullient artist says in the song, drawing loud applause from the audience.
