As is now well documented, Abby Lee Miller is out.
The controversial Dance Moms coach no longer has anything to do with the reality series.
But Hulu is rebooting the show (titled “A New Era”) on August 7… and the first trailer, released by People magazine this week, makes it clear Miller may be leaving.
But the drama remains.
“My only goal is to win a national championship, starting today,” Froehampton told the girls in the preview. “No one promised a place here. No one.
Coach Glo previously appeared on an episode of the original reality show’s third season alongside her daughter Kelly.
Her studio also beat Miller’s Junior Elite competition team in a season four episode; now she’s back in the spotlight.
“In just six weeks, we’re competing nationally,” Glo tells her dance students in the July 18 trailer for the Hulu series. “We’re not ready for this.”
In the past, Miller has starred as Maddie Ziegler, Kenzie Ziegler, Nia Sui, Chloe Lukasiak, Kendall Waiters, Paige Hyland, Brooke… Dancers including Hyland, Kalani Hilliker and JoJo Siwa choreographed the show every week… The show ran for eight seasons and ended in 2019.
This new era will feature a new cast.
“I spent 40 years teaching kids to dance, which prepared me for this moment,” Coach Glo explains in the video above, adding:
“I’m excited to take on the next challenge every week, compete in a new competition and hopefully win another national championship.”
At the same time, as so often happens on this series, there is fierce competition among the dancers.
But, that real The drama is courtesy of the new dance moms themselves as we see them pushing and shoving and we even witness a particularly vengeful slap in the face where one of the moms screams, “I dare you to slap me Come.
But guys, Glo knows nothing about it.
“I’m over it. Do you see these kids? That’s all I care about right now,” she told the misbehaving parents.
All 10 episodes of Dance Moms: A New Age will premiere on Hulu on Wednesday, August 7.
