Susan Sarandon It’s not about giving up on love!
Chatting with ET’s Rachel Smith on Thursday Fantastic Four At the New York premiere, the 77-year-old actress (who was married to actor Chris Sarandon from 1967 to 1979) opened up about her daughter Eva Amurri’s wedding , a recent wedding and what she is looking for in a partner.
Sarandon’s daughter, Eva Amurri – with ex Franco Amurri – Married to Ian Hawke An intimate ceremony was held last month. Another former partner of Sarandon, Tim Robbins She also attended the event with her sons Miles and Jack.
“A wonderful wedding” Therma and Louise The star tells Alien about Eva’s wedding. “It was her second wedding and I thought it was great to get married after having kids because they were at the wedding and so happy about it.”
Eva was married to Kyle Martino from 2011 to 2020 and gave birth to two sons during their time together. Sarandon said the wedding reflected her daughter’s love for Hawke, adding, “It was small, very intentional, and very sweet.”
So…will she open her heart to find love again? Why not, she said!
“I’m open to love,” she said. “On every level, absolutely. I wouldn’t say I’m looking for someone to share my medicine cabinet with, but I love adventurers.”
The acclaimed actress added: “I’d love to, you know, [find] Anyone who’s still curious and passionate, you know?
Her daughter’s wedding isn’t the only one in her life, though, as her new movie (also starring Bette Midler, Meghan Mullally and Sheryl Lee Ralph) follows lifelong friends as they head to Florida The story of Zhou being the bridesmaid for her college girlfriend.
Sarandon said that when it came to the project, the cast and crew just wanted to have fun. Spoiler alert: they achieved their goal.
“We just wanted to have fun, and I think we — we did,” she said, adding that they also wanted the story to appeal to everyone.
“There are stories for women of all ages, right? I think hopefully it transcends. I mean, I go see movies starring young people, so I hope you know about kids – one of my sons is here , I think he would find the folly of old people amusing.
ET also spoke with Sarandon’s co-stars, Cheryl Lee Ralphshe also gave her own reasons Why people should go see their movies.
“In this chaotic moment, we need some peace. We need some comfort, we need some laughter, and that’s what movies are,” the actress said.
